I’m a Google Fan
Thursday, July 8, 2010 @ 10:47 am by Josh Burcham
I always have a fair amount of projects that I’m juggling at a time with their own fair share of administration stuff. That is where Google steps in or more specifically Google Apps. Instead of installing a exchange server for my email, calendar, and syncing needs. I am able to get a better system for a cheaper price, in most cases FREE, with Google Apps. No headaches. No problems. Just simple. And I love the word simple.

Everything from emails to calendars to intranets and docs can be done in the Google system and I’ve only been happy with the system. Everything can be synced to my phone and my computers and my info is always up to date.
If you aren’t a Google Apps user and want to be. I can set you up. Email me at josh@originalboxstudio.com. Non-profits: Google Apps are FREE, yes free, to you. Shoot me an email.

NEW to the Portfolio
Wednesday, June 30, 2010 @ 10:07 pm by Josh Burcham
I know I say this a lot, but still… I impressed myself with this one. This was a project that started out with me not being able to find it feel. But after a couple of designs we found this straight lined design. Tell me what you think about it. And learn about and join the Totally Rad League at www.totallyradleague.com!

My goal is to help churches, ministries and business set the brand that they want their communities to see them. I help with just that… I help them look good. Check out my portfolio at www.joshburcham.com/portfolio and request a quote.

I Was Bored
Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 10:33 pm by Josh Burcham
I have an issue of having to look at the same thing over and over again and decided to change things up on the blog. First of my own sites that I created from a completely blank canvas, it was a little rocky at first with some new features, but turn out well.
Moving the blog from a personal site to a site to display my portfolio, creating some more additional income for a future project, that we can talk about more in a couple of months. Don’t worry, my blog still lives here and I’ll still post as I always have. Know of any churches that need a website re-design, branding or print project. I don’t work exclusively with churches, but my heart is there to help at a low price to better the Church to help people meet Jesus. Shoot me an email, if you have any leads. If you’re a church and want to talk about your needs, submit your info for a quote.
The site is still in progress, since I’m never happy with status quo. Enjoy the new features and watch for up coming changes and announcements. It’s been a long time since my last real post, so help get the word out and let them new about the new web address: www.joshburcham.com.

Can You Oozes at this Level of Creativity?
Wednesday, October 14, 2009 @ 8:18 pm by Josh Burcham
Seriously. Could you operate at that level of creativity to produce a video like this? I was thinking through the process of coming to that outcome and I don’t think it would of ever accrued to me. Creativity moves people. And creativity could influence heart change. Churches, are you seeking after creativity at it’s high levels or are you okay with status quo. We serve the most creative being, the creator of this universe. We should act like we do.

Church Websites Done Right – Part 3
Thursday, September 17, 2009 @ 10:58 am by Josh Burcham
I’ve talked about what makes a great site and showed you what some great sites look like, but what about why people go to your site in the first place. Your site might crash and burn if you created it with the focus of signing members up for ministry and the majority of your visitors are non-members there to check out what the church had to offer. This list was created by Digital Sanctuary titled: Top 10 Website Features on Church Websites. Results come from a survey they assessed on top features/reasons visitors visited church sites:
(Rated from top reasons to bottom.)
1. Find service information (times, directions, etc).
2. Listen to/download Sermons (audio recordings).
3. Learn about the church’s Beliefs/Mission/Values
4. Connect with other members.
5. Read/download Sermons (text transcripts).
6. Join and/or interact with a home/bible study group.
7. View weekly information/calendar/news/events.
8. Find serving opportunities at the church.
9. Post prayer requests or needs.
10. Read articles or other content.
Now go out there and building some amazing sites for His kingdom. If you need some help and/or advice. Email me at hello (at) joshburcham.com
